What IS a Man Cave, you might ask? Well, Wikipedia states;

A man cave (also sometimes mantuary^[1]) is a male sanctuary,^[2] such as a specially equipped garage,^[3] spare bedroom,^[2] media room,^[4] den,^[5] or basement.

   OK., so that is ONE definition. Perhaps a "tidy" definition that may speak to the more Modern Man among us. A man cave can be any thing from the hole under the wall that was Saddam Hueseins hideout to the evolved and fantastic castle on an Island that was Sir Sean Connery's home in the film Entrapment. These are obviously 2 extremes with one common theme...they were occupied by only 1 man and designed for the purposes of that man.

The Actual Man Cave truly EVOLVES in its entity and is quite the organic evolution of usefulness. Form is totally slave to FUNCTION here in the Actual Man Cave. In fact, what many describe so eloquently as a man cave may really be in fact more arguably a FAN cave with it's nod to media team sports and modern conveniences like video games and refined beer coolers. Simply stated if you have a cave with more than 2 or 3 seats and /or a focal point of activity that requires more than one person to act on it, you probably have a fan cave. This is a place designed for more than one mans purpose and use. A playstation with multiplayers is a great example. A bar with 4 stools is another. Widescreen sitting area for 5 too would fall into the Fan cave title.
